Céline , French elegance

December 9, 2014

My favorite brand is the French brand Céline, famous for it’s beautiful bags ans shoes. The classy ready-to-wear collections designed by Phoebe Philo with beautiful material like high quality wool , cashmere , leather perfectly mix originality and simplicity.

Celine Viapiana, the creator was born in 1920. With her husband she opened a small shop “rue de Maltes” in 1945 , the brand was originally a shoe maker for children. It’s in 1996 that the company LVMH bought it and started to make it a luxury brand by installing a shop on the famous Avenue Montaigne in Paris. In 2008, Phoebe Philo a genius designer joined the brand and became the artistic director. She really gave the brand a signature by designing simple lines, with sober colors, grey, black, white… She is also well-known for the designs that made the brand really famous like the Luggage, the Luggage Phantom or the slippers that struck back into the world of fashion after Céline realised a line declined in many colors. I am sure you must have seen one those fashion pieces !

Celine is now one of the most copied brands , which means if we focus on the positive aspect of that fact, that the brand is reknowned and object of desire !
